A. NGaREIA is an acronym for North Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, Inc.

top

A. NGaREIA is comprised of a group of people who are real estate investors, or who want to learn to be real estate investors, or who have a business or service that can benefit real estate investors.

top

Q. What does NGaREIA do?

A. We meet monthly on the third Tuesday of each month, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Our goal is to learn the latest REI (real estate investing) and asset protection techniques. In addition, on the Saturday following each month's NGaREIA meeting, we conduct an in-depth, comprehensive real estate investing seminar.

Q. Where are the NGaREIA meetings held?

A. We meet at the Cartersville Holiday Inn. It is located at exit #293 (Hwy 411) off I-75 in Cartersville, Georgia. You will find a map by going back to our home page and clicking on the red directional button on the left hand side titled "Driving Directions".

top

Q. When is the next NGaREIA meeting?

A. To find out the time of the next NGaREIA meeting and what topics will be discussed, go to our home page and click on the red directional button on the left hand side titled ".Meeting Info". You can also click on the directional button titled "Events Calendar".

top

Q. Do I need to know some special handshake, or be an experienced investor, before I can attend NGaREIA meetings?

A. No. We are a group with few rules. Everyone is welcome to attend.

top

Q. Do I need to become a yearly member in order to attend meetings?

A. No. In fact, we encourage new investors not to become yearly members until they have attended at least a meeting or two and are sure they want to become real estate investors.

top

Q. How much does it cost to attend a NGaREIA meeting?

A.A meeting costs $11/person or $19/couple, is tax deductible (check with your CPA to make sure), and comes with an unconditional 100% money back guarantee. If, for any reason, you do not think one of our meetings or seminars was worth your valuable time, we will gladly refund all of your admission costs with a smile on our faces and no questions asked!

top

Q. Do you offer yearly memberships?

A. Yes. A single yearly membership is $110, or $190 for a couple.

top

Q. How do I become a yearly member?

A. Email Kim Cook at kim@REIoutpost.com and she'll take care of the details. You can find more information about the benefits of being, as well as how to become, a yearly member by going back to our home page and clicking on the "Become a Member" directional button on the left side of the screen.

top

Q. What are some of the topics that are covered at the monthly NGaREIA meetings?

A. We cover topics like deal-structuring techniques, how to determine a property's value; how to estimate a property's rehab costs; what important questions to ask a seller; how to make a written offer; etc. To see the list of meeting topics we will cover in 2006, go back to our home page, click on the red directional button on the top of the left hand side titled "Meeting Info". There you'll see a list of our meeting topics for 2006, as well as each month's guest speakers and meeting sponsors.

top

Q. What is the difference between a meeting and a seminar?

A. Good question. Our monthly meetings are only two hours long, while our monthly seminars - which are held on the Saturday following our meeting - last either a half day or full day. Because of the extra time, we are able to cover a particular REI topic in much greater detail. In addition, all of our seminars include a comprehensive manual and a CD with the forms that you will need for doing that particular deal structure.

top

Q. What are some of your seminar topics?

A. At our seminars, we teach on a wide variety of REI topics. If you want to learn: how to become a real estate investor; how to make offers and negotiate deals; where to get the money to do a deal; how to buy foreclosures and pre-foreclosures; how to do Subject To deals or Short Sales or lease options; how to manage your rental property and tenants, etc., then take a look at the seminars we will teach in 2006. To do so, go to our homepage and click on the red directional button at the top left side that is labeled "Seminar Info". There you'll see a list of the seminars we will teach in 2006.

top

Q. What if I missed the seminar but still want to learn about a particular REI topic?

A. No problem. You can purchase our comprehensive manual about the real estate investing topic(s) in which you are interested. Our comprehensive in-depth manuals mirror our seminars. As a bonus, each manual includes a FREE pass to the next seminar we teach on that topic. In other words, when you buy a manual, you can attend the seminar for free. Now that's a hot steaming deal!

top

Q. What if I buy a manual but don't like it?

A.All of our manuals have a 30-day 100% money back guarantee. If, for any reason, you buy one of our manuals and it doesn't meet your expectations, simply return the manual within thirty days and we will gladly refund all of your money, with a smile, and no questions asked.

top

Q. Are there other REIAs in Georgia?

A.Yes, a number of them. The largest is GaREIA. It meets in Atlanta and is one of the biggest REIAs in the country. We are not affiliated with GaREIA.

top

Q. How big is NGaREIA?

A.NGaREIA was founded in January 2002 by Bill and Kim Cook. Currently we have over 1,200 members and are the second largest REIA in Georgia.

top

Q. How many people attend each month's REIA meeting?

A. Between 140 and 190 folks attend each month's meeting.

top

Q. Is NGaREIA a part of GaREIA?

A. No. NGaREIA is independent of any other local or national REIA.

top

Q. How do I find out about the other REIAs in Georgia?

A. Your best source for this information - and most REI information for that matter - is other experienced investors. If you want to know whether there is a local REIA, or which real estate investing teachers and courses are the best, or what you should know before you make your first offer, etc., ask other local investors.

top

Q. Should I join my local REIA?

A. If you are interested in real estate investing, then yes you should. At your local REIA meetings you will find and be able to talk to other investors. These investors aren't the guys you see on late night TV trying to sell their REI courses. Rather they are folks similar to you who buy, rehab, sell, rent, and lease option property in your area. Who better to learn from?

top

Q. How do I become a member of NGaREIA?

A. If you attend one of our monthly REIA meetings and/or send us your name and contact information so we can send you our meeting notices, then you are a member of NGaREIA.

top

Q. If I am an experienced investor, will I learn anything at the monthly meetings?

A. Absolutely! At each meeting we feature an expert guest speaker(s) who covers a particular REI topic in detail. Between what the speaker covers and the question and answer session that follows, we all learn something new - no matter your experience level.

top

Q. If I have a business or service that may benefit real estate investors, can I sponsor a NGaREIA meeting?

A. Yes. If you want to be a meeting sponsor, please contact Kim Cook at kim@REIoutpost.com.

top

Q. How much does it cost to sponsor a meeting?

A. We only have one sponsor at each meeting. The cost to sponsor a meeting is $100. We announce our meeting's sponsor at the beginning and end of each meeting. During the meeting, the sponsor has five minutes to come up front and tell the REIA group about his or her product or service. In addition, our meeting sponsor gets a full page ad in our 28 page monthly REI newsletter, The Equity. Each month The Equity is read by more than 600 real estate investors. Also, each month's sponsor is listed on our website, as well as sent out in our meeting reminder email to more than 1,200 real estate investors. This could be the best $100 you have ever invested in advertising!

top

Q. What can I do if I have a product or service that will benefit real estate investors but I am not the meeting sponsor?

A. Before each REIA meeting begins, you are welcome to put a flier in each chair. However, once the meeting starts, no more fliers may be passed out.

If you just want to pass out your flier but not attend our meeting, you must still pay the admission fee.

top

Q. What is The Equity?

A. It is our free monthly real estate investing newsletter. Each month we mail and pass out over 2,000 copies!

The Equity is 16 pages and is in newspaper format. Each month's issue is loaded with solid, conservative, real-world "how to do that" real estate investing articles and information.

Some of our writers are local folks. Some live in other parts of the country.

If you are on our mailing list – a list we share with no one else – each month you will be mailed your free copy of the equity. To be on our mailing list, please go back to our home page, click on the “Sign Me Up For A Free Newsletter” button on the left hand side, and then simply register.

You can also download our latest issue as well as many of the back issues of The Equity. To download a newsletter, please go to our homepage and click on the “FREE newsletters” button on the left hand side. Just remember, the files are big and the download may take awhile if you are on dial up.

top

Q. Can I advertise in The Equity?

A. Absolutely. If you want to place an ad in The Equity, contact Kim Sandell at sandellk@bellsouth.net for availability and prices.

top

Q. Can I write for The Equity?

A. Sure. If you have an idea or topic you want to write about, contact Kim Sandell at sandellk@bellsouth.net . She'll be happy to discuss your idea with you.
