OUTSTANDING REI (Real Estate Investing) DISCUSSION BOARDS
www.dealmakerscafe.com -
I found this site in about 2000. It is Matt "The Dealmaker" Scott's site, and he has a lot of great articles. What I like most about dealmakerscafe is the Discussion Forums. Over the years I have learned a ton by asking and answering REI questions. Be sure to give it a try.
www.reiplace.com -
This site is run by four outstanding Real Estate Investors: Steve Cook, William Tingle, John Hyre, and Hal Roark. They have a great REI discussion board. There are also links to their personal websites.
www.CREonline.com -
This is one of the oldest REI sites on the web. It has tons of great articles. Terry Vaughn, a great guy from whom I have learned much, and his wife, J.P., run this site. This site has tons of great articles, but it is difficult to figure out how to use their discussion board (at least it was for me).
but their discussion board is hard to figure out how to use; at least it was for me.
OUTSTANDING REI (Real Estate Investing) TEACHERS:
www.assets101.com -
This is Dyches Boddiford's website. I cannot begin to tell you how important Dyches has been to our REI education and careers. When it comes to advanced REI ideas and instruction, no one is better. Want to learn about entities (corporations, LLCs, and Land Trusts)? Dyches is to entities what Yoda is to the Force!
www.money99.com -
This is John Adams' website. John was our very first REI teacher. We still regularly attend his seminars. You can hear John on the radio every Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 640 AM radio out of Atlanta. John is always upbeat. He makes you believe that you can succeed as a Real Estate Investor. John and his wife Margie Adams are two of the best folks you will ever meet.
www.cashflowconcepts.com -
This is Jack Miller's website. Jack was part of the Florida Six Pack. He is one of the top Real Estate Investors in the country.
The Florida Six Pack was comprised of six incredibly bright men: Jack Miller, Pete Fortunato, Jim Napier, John Schaub, Don Tauscher, and Warren Harding. These great men got together regularly while in Florida.
Most of the creative REI techniques that are being used and taught today are based on concepts originally conceived, developed, improved, and implemented by these six men - they were known as the Florida Six Pack.
www.peterfortunato.com -
Pete was part of the Florida Six Pack. Pete is one of the smartest men in Real Estate Investing. Whenever he speaks, go and listen.
LANDLORDING WEBSITES:
www.georgialandlord.com -
If you are looking for some great Landlording information, this is a great place to go for research.
www.mrlandlord.com -
This is Jeff Taylor's site. There is very little about Landlording that Jeff doesn't know. There are a lot of great Landlording articles at this site, and Jeff puts out a monthly Landlording newsletter that is a very good read.
OTHER REIAs (Real Estate Investors Association):
www.reioutpost.com -
This is our little ol' REIA website.
www.gareia.org -
This is Georgia REIA's website. GaREIA is the largest Investors group in America. Kim and I were members for years. We would still be members but live too far way for it to be practical.
Straight up: I do not like GaREIA's huge monthly meetings even a little bit. It is one big sales pitch. However, GaREIA has subgroups and small training classes. These subgroups and training classes are worth their weight in gold. They are where Kim and I received much of our REI training.
www.reiatl.com -
This is the Atlanta REI website. I have only been to one of their meetings.
www.nationalreia.com -
This is the National REIA's site. We (North Georgia REIA) are not part of the National REIA. Still, you can find some good information by going to this site and going to the sites of the other REIAs around the country. Some of the sites are good, some aren't.
INFORMATION ABOUT BUYING AND SELLING DISCOUNTED NOTES:
www.papersourceonline.com -
This is a real gem of a site. Want to learn about how to discount and buy a note? Here is where you can lean.
