Our Satisfied Members Say it Best…
We attended our first North Georgia REIA meeting in January 2004. Since then we've gained a lot of knowledge about Real Estate Investing from Bill and Kim's Saturday seminars, the monthly meeting's speakers, and networking with other successful investors at both the meetings and seminars.
We've added real estate to our portfolio making a lot of great friends in the process.
We can't say enough about how much we appreciate Bill & Kim Cook and their wonderful organization, NGaREIA.

Since I am a part-time investor, the North Georgia REIA has been valuable to me in that I can learn from others in a short period of time what would take years to accomplish on my own. It helps me to expand my thinking, and the networking opportunities have been great.
Bill and Kim are good people and I gain encouragement from their successes.

We joined the North Georgia Real Estate Investors Association 2 1/2 years ago after meeting Brannon Fain and Bill and Kim Cook at a seminar in Atlanta. At that time our REI knowledge was less than zero.
Not only are Bill and Kim two of the nicest, most unselfish people we have ever met, but we also have met so many other excited, enthusiastic and knowledgeable real estate investors, all willing to share their vast REI experience.
We have learned, and continue to learn, valuable information at each month's meeting from other investors as well as the many guest speakers.
Being a member of the North Georgia Real Estate Investors Association has made a tremendous and positive impact on us. We now actively buy, sell, rent and manage real estate in Rome, GA, all thanks to the things we learned and the people we have met through the North Georgia Real Estate Investors Association.

If it were not for North Georgia REIA, I would still feel like a tiny little fish in a huge
ocean. I now know that I have others to turn to for guidance, smiles, and
answers to my most basic questions.

The North Georgia REIA, founded by Bill and Kim Cook to assist in learning all aspects of real estate investment, is an organization which does just that - instructs, informs, counsels, and helps those of us who are learning how to help others with their real estate problems.
Not only is North Georgia REIA an instructive organization for learning how to invest wisely in real estate, but it is also an upbeat, supportive, and personally caring group of speakers and attendees. It's the best!

Just a short note to say that I have learned so much from your meetings and seminars. When I needed some help and guidance, you were there for me. Thank you so much.

As a new real estate investor, I want to thank you for making the North Georgia REIA meetings so informative and friendly. Because I have felt so welcomed by the group, I don't feel intimidated to ask you or others in the room questions about things I don't know but want to learn. It must be the cookies.....
Thanks.

I live in Acworth Georgia. I am a realtor. I was a builder for over 10 years and have worked in the construction industry for the better part of my working life. I know how to build and remodel a house, but there is more to being a good real estate investor than just being a carpenter or a manager.
Therefore, I decided that if I was going to be a good investor, I needed as much knowledge and as many connections as possible in that industry. The first thing I did was join Georgia REIA in Atlanta. After attending several meetings and seminars, I started getting discouraged because I did not feel as though I was gaining enough good, solid knowledge to feel comfortable with what I was trying to accomplish as a real estate investor. Even some of the seminars that I paid extra to attend did not give me very much information because they were more interested in selling their books and tapes.
One day out of the blue, I happened to see a newsletter from North Georgia REIA. I called and talked with Kim for a few minutes about their organization. Of course she bragged about how great their real estate investors association was and how much they were growing. I decided to attend the next North Georgia REIA meeting to see if it was as fun and informative as she promised.
I am so very glad that I found that newsletter and made the call to Kim. I cannot say enough about how great this organization has been and how much knowledge I have gained through attending Kim and Bill's meetings, not to mention Kim's wonderful baked goodies that we sometimes get to experience. I learned more at my first North Georgia REIA meeting than I did in one years worth of meetings in Atlanta. They really give good solid information that you can use. I felt like I had found someone who was genuinely interested in teaching others the business and helping them succeed.
I have been curious about subject to deals, but I was afraid to use this method. I did not know enough about subject to deals to try to buy a house this way. After attending Bill & Kim's Buying Properties Subject To seminar, I have made several offers to buy property on a subject to bases. Not only did I get the information I needed, they gave me a manual that included CDs and step-by-step instructions. They should have called their manual "Subject To Real Estate for Dummies". It was awesome! Even if their Subject To manual had not come with instructions, Bill always seems eager to answer any questions anyone may have about real estate investing. I hear that he even answers emails at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning. That's dedication??? (:
Just recently I was thinking about purchasing a couple of new homes for lease purchase that a builder was going to let go at $14,000 below the market value. I posted the scenario about my "great" deal on the www.REIoutpost.com discussion board and Bill, along with a few other fellow investors, replied with their opinions. They helped me to stop and think about other angles before I made the decision to move on with this deal.
I have got to say that joining North Georgia REIA and such a wonderful group of people has been a huge leap in the right direction for my real estate investing career. I can't say enough good things about Bill & Kim. Keep up the GREAT work.

Dear Kim,
I am writing this letter because I really want you to know just how much your short sale class has dramatically impacted my life for the better.
I was not sure what to expect after taking your class, but little did I know what an incredible teacher you are and just how much the tools, wisdom, encouragement and knowledge you brought to myself and your students would turn out to mean for me in the very near future.
The difference between what I did not learn at the other classes and what I did learn from you was huge. It is like being given a puzzle without all the pieces, you can get most if it completed, but never quite successfully finished. When I walked out of your class I walked out confident, and most important with all the tools and knowledge I needed to put to good use in the real world.
Kim, all your years of real world experience helped me to leap forward what may have taken me years or decades to learn on my own by trial and error. From your valuable experience I learned the critical key elements needed to successfully complete a short sale.
The detailed information you taught in a step-by-step manner, the real life case studies in the manual, in addition to all the forms and your valuable knowledge make up a complete winning package. There is no other way to put it, this is absolutely priceless!
Kim, since taking your class I have successfully closed two short sale deals, with one expected to close next week. In addition, I have helped two other homeowners successfully stop their home from going to foreclosure. The monetary reward is great, but knowing you have helped someone out of a difficult hardship, and therefore allowed them to move on with dignity is rewarding beyond words.
I took your class after taking a couple others with one of the big guru guys; they gave lots of information, overview and details, but not enough for me to walk away really knowing what to do next.
Kim, your years of experience are absolutely priceless, and I can never began to put a dollar value on what your class has meant to me today and what it will bring to me in the near future and in the long run.
These are two little words that seem so small, but to me they mean so much,
Thank You!
-Gina Willis
